Class Etiquette

Portuguese: Please arrive to class ON TIME. If you arrive late, be sure to greet your instructor before joining the class. It is customary in Brazilian culture to say hello when you arrive late, it is not considered an interruption. Bring a pen and paper with you.

Capoeira: Please let your instructor know if you have any injuries or limitations. Keep the training area CLEAR of all belongings. There are shelves to place your bags and water bottles near the back door.
What to Wear: All Capoeira students are expected to wear a clean Capoeira uniform and Capoeira Luanda Houston t-shirt. If you do not have a uniform be sure to wear loose, comfortable clothing you can move and sweat in. NO jeans. Shoes are optional. If you are going to wear shoes, lightweight tennis shoes with a flat sole are preferred.
What to Bring: Bring a water bottle and anything else you may need based on health issues or injuries.
