Annual Capoeira Batizado
An annual event celebrating a year of training and development for the capoeirista, the Batizado is an opportunity
to "graduate" to the next level of training, and for the new student to be formally initiated into the world
of capoeira. This event takes place over the course of one week and features workshops, master classes, lectures and
a final ceremony open to family and friends. Teachers and students come from all over the country
and abroad to share in the study, expression and celebration of capoeira.
