BAF CLASSES |

A new block of Portuguese classes will start on January 8, 2008. Classes are taught by Teresa Leiserowitz author of Portuguese Dinâmico Século 21. Leiserowitz graduated in Modern Language Portuguese at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – Brazil. “Portuguese Dinâmico Século 21” has received excelent reviews from students. The book can be purchased at Amazon.com. Registered students can purchase the book at the Brazilian Arts Foundation before classes start. The DVD of the 7th Annual International Encounter Capoeira Luanda Houston, Texas will be released this month. Get ready to get your own copy of the DVD at the Brazilian Arts Foundation. The DVD will include all rodas, a taste of each workshop and the entire Batizado event. |

Samba Classes every Saturday, 11-12 pm
|

Join us every Saturday from 11-12pm for Samba Workout. Learn how to dance different styles of samba, pagode and other Brazilian carnival dances while getting a great cardio workout! $50 - Monthly $15 - Individual Classes BAF students that are registered for Capoeira classes are eligible for 50% discount when they sign up for samba classes on a monthly basis. |

New Capoeira Class on Thursday Mornings starting in February 2008 |

Now it’s the perfect time to fulfill your new year’s resolution. We are adding a new Capoeira class every Thursday morning from 9:30-11 am. Take advantage of this new morning class to learn new capoeira movements or improve those you already know. The class will be for all levels of students and will begin in February.

If you have not been to a Samba Night yet, this will be your chance to witness the unique beat of Brazilian drums and enjoy an evening of music and dance at BAF.
